Wilson is an adorable goldendoodle who was born on May 16, 2020. Because of the pandemic, his parents were working from home and decided it was the perfect time to introduce a puppy to their household. They had plenty of one-on-one time to spend training and playing with him before going back into the office full-time. At that point it was just Wilson, mom, and dad, and since then two human sisters have joined the family.

In October 2020, Wilson began attending Doggy Daycare and Spa. It is pretty apparent to his parents that he loves it since he nearly pulls their arms off running into the building to see his friends. His family appreciates that Wilson has a place to expend extra energy and make doggy friends.

When he’s not hanging out with his Hip Hound pals, Wilson can be found with a tennis ball or two in his mouth. He is obsessed and they are by far his favorite toy. He also loves playing “chase” with his 2-year-old human sister. He is looking forward to when the baby starts walking so he can add her to his game.

When choosing his name, his Mom and Dad wanted one with MSU roots. They both attended Michigan State University and were engineering majors. They hadn’t met at the time, but they both lived in the Wilson Dormitory and decided Wilson was a perfect nod to their alma mater.

It was summertime when Wilson joined his family, and on his first day at this new home his family was playing outside with him, and they found he was constantly hiding under their chairs. At first, they thought it was just nervous from his transition, but it turned out he was hiding from the sun! He still dislikes the sun and can often be found lying in shady locations throughout his yard.

It makes sense then that Wilson’s favorite season is definitely winter! He loves to eat snow and run with the neighborhood children up and down the sledding hills located right next door to his home. We think that sounds fun too!
