Meet Minnie Garbarino!

Minnie Garbarino is a Boxer who was born on October 4, 2015.  She joined her family after they lost their previous dog, Chance, who was also a boxer and enjoyed many years being loved by the team at Doggy Daycare and Spa.  Chance’s arrival was timed perfectly, and her fun-loving nature and puppy antics did wonders in helping her “Grandpa” while he was ill and boosting his mood.

When she was born, Minnie was the littlest of her litter and named Minnie by the breeder likely due to her small size.  The Garbarino family decided the name was fitting and officially named her Minerva Noel because she came home at Christmas time.  Her nicknames include Min, Min-Min, Minerific, Minnie-haha, and “The Min”.

In March 2016, Minnie began attending Doggy Daycare and Spa regularly.  She knows when it is “daycare day” and is always ready to go play with her friends, prancing into the building.  She has the added benefit of attending with her best friend in the entire world, Finn, who is also her neighbor.  Minnie and Finn are so close that they spend the night in the same room together when they board overnight at Doggy Daycare and Spa.  Minnie is quite sure that Finn is her dog.  She was only 18 months old when they met for the first time and have loved each other ever since.

When she isn’t hanging out with the Hip Hounds at Doggy Daycare and Spa, Minnie enjoys playing with Finn and going on a “sniff-ari” around her neighborhood.  Off leash romps in green spaces and playing chase with a favorite toy (likely her pig toy named Honk) at the unfortunate hour of 6am!

A unique characteristic about Minnie is that she has a nipple on her thigh!  She contracted a bad infection after a surgery that required a skin graft.  The surgeon used skin from her abdomen to graft onto her leg.  Everything worked exactly how it should, and left Minnie with this unique identifying mark.

If Minnie could talk, she would tell us all to get off those darn screens and take more walks (aka a sniff-ari).  We think that is great advice, Minnie!
