Medora is a black Labrador Retriever who was born on January 30, 2016. She joined her family when she was a puppy shortly after the loss of a previous dog. While her puppy teething stage certainly made her family second guess their decision to get a puppy, Medora grew into a lovely companion, especially for her mom after the loss of her husband.

When she was a year old, Medora began attending Doggy Daycare and Spa regularly for Daycare. Romping and playing with the other hip hounds has made Medora’s life more enriching and her mom is grateful for the care provided by the attentive team.

Along with regular daycare attendance, Medora enjoys overnights when her mom is away. Staying with her friends is no big deal because she knows the staff and the routine. Visits to the Spa for pampering also keeps Medora’s beautiful coat shiny and healthy. In fact, it was during one of her Spa days that her groomer discovered something wrong with Medora’s ear. Her mom was able to take her to the vet and have the mass biopsied.

Last year, Medora started to lose her vision and had to start getting regular insulin shots. This doesn’t keep her from coming to Doggy Daycare and Spa though! While she isn’t as rumbunctious as she was 10 years ago, Medora still knows her way around and enjoys the stimulation and activity Daycare provides. The team is always willing to provide the extra care and attention each individual dog needs!

While we are all happy that spring is on its way, Medora prefers winter when she can root around in the snow and make dog angels. Her yard is always filled with her trails and circles from her escapades.

If Medora could talk, she would tell us that Doggy Daycare and Spa is her happiest place to be besides home with her mom. She would also make sure we knew that even though she can’t see us, she can feel us around her. Thank you for letting us be such an important part of your life, Medora! We love you!
