Enzo is a Golden Retriever who was born on December 15, 2021.  His family knew they wanted to add a dog to the family, and Enzo was the first puppy they went to see.  He was the last of his litter, and they were cautiously optimistic about the meeting.  The moment they opened the car door and caught a glimpse of him, they knew there was 0% chance they were leaving without him.  

After bringing him home, the Vrabel family tried out several names… Copper and Cooper were in the running as was Indy since he came from Indiana.  But then they remembered a beautiful movie they watched “The Art of Racing in the Rain” where the main character is a race car drier who loves Ferraris and names his Golden Retriever Enzo after Enzo Ferrari.  The family tried out the name and it stuck.  He is 100% an Enzo!

On July 29, 2022, Enzo joined the “pack” at the Okemos location of Doggy Daycare and Spa.  His home is in a rural area, so attending Daycare regularly provides Enzo time to socialize with other dogs and humans.  Like most Goldens, Enzo is definitely an extrovert.  His parents love to see the enjoyment that Enzo gets from attending.

When he isn’t being Mr. Congeniality at Doggy Daycare and Spa, Enzo loves to spend time outside at home.  Whether it be walking or running free at the park, as long as he’s outside, Enzo is in heaven.

Most dogs have a favorite toy, and Enzo is no exception.  His favorite toy is the one in your hand that he doesn’t already have in his mouth.  (LOL)

Enzo is a smart dog.  He can sit with either a voice or hand command, shake, lay down, and identify the colors blue and yellow.  He also has been to scent-work class which allows him to make use of his super-sniffer.

Speaking of super-sniffers, Enzo has a habit of lying by the backdoor of his home next to the shoe mat.  On more than one occasion, he has been seen napping with his snout inside a shoe.  “Why?” you may ask?  Only Enzo knows…

Enzo is a fan of every season.  In the winter, he loves to make doggy snow angels.  In autumn, he plays in the leaves.  In summer, he enjoys going to the beach or soaking in his private kiddie pool at home.  This spring, he is excited for the warmer temperatures so he can go on more walks.  

Enzo’s family describe him as all love and light with a beautiful sensitive soul.  He brightens up his family and everyone he is around.  His bubbly personality is contagious and he makes his family laugh… A LOT!
