Eddie is a handsome Boxer who was born on November 20, 2020.  He was brought home by his family from a breeder in the Upper Peninsula during the pandemic.  On the drive home from picking him up, tiny baby Eddie sat proudly on Mom’s lap like he was the king of the world… until he suddenly turned into a leaky faucet. He peed all over her — full soak mode, no warning, no hesitation, just “SURPRISE, NEW MOM!” Since that glorious day, Mom has maintained a very strict “no Eddie within splash radius” policy. Eddie still tries to get close, and she still gives him the side-eye of someone who’s been betrayed.

In 2023, his family determined that enrolling Eddie at Doggy Daycare and Spa would be beneficial for everyone in their home.  Eddie burns off approximately 47 metric tons of energy per visit, and his parents get to continue living peacefully in their home without Eddie ricocheting off the furniture and walls. His Mom also appreciates not having the “toddler-dog” staring at her all-day yelling, “MOM! MOM! MOM! WHY DON’T YOU LOVE ME LIKE DAD DOES?!”

Eddie can run “super-fast” and spends his days hanging out with the hip hounds at the Lansing location where his BFFs are Georgia and Johnny Cash.  He loves to sunbathe like a sweaty little potato, soaking up heat until he’s basically a solar‑powered boxer and then cooling off from the mist of the sprinkler.  While he loves all the dogs and people at Doggy Daycare and Spa, he does not like when “Santa” visits or the scary window cleaners show up to wash the windows.

When he’s not at Daycare, Eddie prefers to spend his time lying on Dad’s lap. Not next to Dad. Not near Dad. ON Dad. Full body. Full weight. Full commitment.  He is very stealth and believes his Dad didn’t even notice the encroachment on his personal space.

Eddie has a small army of stuffed animals he likes to lovingly carry around his house… before performing highly accurate stuffed‑animal surgery by removing their insides.  Along with his surgeon skills, Eddie can also sit, shake, and ring his special doorbell to demand indoor or outdoor access — which he uses with the authority of a tiny furry monarch. He also believes he possesses magic powers because he can bend his entire body in half like a circus pretzel.

Eddie is equal parts chaos and cuddles. He’s loyal, hilarious, and slightly dramatic — like if a toddler, a boxer, a fire alarm, and a cartoon character were combined. He loves everyone that he sees, even the people he barks at (but maybe not the window cleaners).  His Dad believes that other dogs at daycare likely either hate him or make fun of him.  He tells his Dad all the time that the other dogs never let him play any of the reindeer games.  He’s probably just saying that for attention though because we can vouch that everyone loves Eddie at Doggy Daycare and Spa!
