About Quicklinks

Chakka-Khan is a Siberian Husky who was born on May 1, 2017. Her “Dad” was looking for to foster a husky and a friend of his suggested he meet Chakka-Khan as she was already a great dog who just needed some attention, love, and exercise.
As a previous husky foster, Chakka-Khan’s dad was not naïve to the characteristics of the breed. However, he was especially smitten with Chakka-Khan and appreciated her chill and goofy temperament. To quote “She is the best thing to ever happen to me.”
In July 2022, Chakka-Khan became a Hip Hound at the Okemos location of Doggy Daycare and Spa. With her dad being a full-time student and working, regular daycare attendance allows Chakka to get the exercise and socialization she needs while he is busy. She also gets to spend the night when her dad is away and regular visits to the Spa help keep her double coat in manageable condition.
When she is hanging with the hip hounds at Doggy Daycare and Spa, Chakka loves playing with her best friends Roswell, Chessie, Kaya, Daisy, Lucy A. and Lucy M. After a long morning of galivanting around with her BFFs, she can be found taking an afternoon nap in the sun on the playground equipment.
When she’s not at Daycare, Chakka loves to lounge in the sun. Her favorite toy is her soccer ball, and she especially enjoys fetching it and kicking it to her Dad. If she wants something, she will offer her paw in “shake” to get it.
Every summer, Chakka-Khan gets to travel with her dad to the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. She is a natural backpacker and is always on her best behavior. She loves to swim in Lake Superior followed by sunbathing.
While she is known for her sunbathing, Chakka-Khan is also true to her Husky heritage and would claim winter as her favorite season. Rolling around in the snow is the absolute best in her opinion.
If Chakka-Khan could give us advice it would be to CHILL OUT! She doesn’t like it when people get worked up and is very in-tune with human energy. We think that is some great advice Chakka!
