Cali is a small mixed breed cutie-pie who was born on June 15, 2016. She didn’t have the best start in life and somehow found herself in a “kill-shelter” in Arkansas, pregnant with 13 puppies.
Third Coast Labrador Rescue got her out of the dire situation and brought her to Michigan where she gave birth to her puppies and waited for her new Mom to adopt her.

In July 2017, Cali’s Mom went to the shelter to adopt a lab. She was smitten with the 13-month-old Cali and brought her home. She might not have been a lab, but she has been the perfect
companion!

It wasn’t long before Cali started attending Doggy Daycare and Spa regularly. She somehow always knows when it is Wednesday just from the morning routine. As soon as the car turns onto Mount Hope Hwy, Cali’s excitement is apparent. She spends the day playing with her best friends Chance, Paisley, and Sasha. When the weather permits, she loves to sunbathe and take the occasional dip in the pool.

At home, Cali is a snuggle bug with her “Mom” and spends time cuddling every morning before getting out of the warm bed. Taking walks around the neighborhood (sometimes twice per day)
to see all of her canine neighbors is one of her favorite past times. Being a respectable dog, Cali also takes her job of chasing squirrels and rabbits who dare to frequent her back yard.

Cali’s favorite toy is the new one with a squeaker. The toy only lasts about 5 minutes before being completely destroyed. She does have a few “animal skins” that she can use to play tug with
her Mom.

Autumn is one of Cali’s favorite seasons. She thoroughly enjoys running through the leaves and hearing them crunch under her paws. She also loves the holidays when she can spend hours
sitting in front of the Christmas tree gazing at the lights. It won’t be long before that time is here!
