About Quicklinks

This darling duo are Maltese/Shih Tzu littermates who were born on January 10, 2021. They arrived in Michigan from upstate New York where they lived a more isolated life at their rural home. Their “parents” adopted them after losing a previous beloved dog and knew adopting the pair would help their other dog cope with the loss of his brother.
Their human sister, a “foodie”, chose the pair’s fun cute names. Brie, short for Brioche, was chosen due to her buttery soft fur and sweet disposition. Mac is short for Macchiato due to him being the warm color of a Caramel Macchiato as a wee puppy.
In February 2023, Brie and Mac began attending Doggy Daycare and Spa where their amazing social skills flourished. The two love spending time with their friends each week and are so excited when they know it is time to go! Getting pampered at the Spa for grooming keeps their beautiful coats clean and mat-free. Overnight boarding isn’t a big deal either because they know they get to have fun with their friends and “Mom and Dad” will be back soon.
When they aren’t hanging with the hip hounds at the Okemos location of Doggy Daycare and Spa, Brie and Mac can be found participating in the daily activities of their parent’s lives. Brie loves to help with laundry and Mac loves to help grill. He will often bring his toy hotdog or hamburger outside to play when he sees the barbecue being fired up!
Not only are Brie and Mac absolutely adorable, but they are also smart. When they met their cousin dog, Ernie, they knew right away he was nearly blind. They quickly showed him around the house, helping him to navigate the new place inside and out. Watching the relationship between the three dogs grow over the years has been a wonderful experience for the family.
Spending time cuddling in warm blankets is Brie’s favorite way to spend winter while Mac can be found romping in the snow outside. They most enjoy fall when there are an abundance of squirrels to chase up a tree. The squirrels, not to be undone, retaliate by dropping acorns on Brie and Mac which they whole-heartedly enjoy!
If Brie and Mac could talk, they would tell us we need to be friends to all! There is always a potential friend in everyone we meet. We think that’s excellent advice, Brie and Mac! Happy New Year!
