Bleu Tagger is a super smiley Golden Retriever who was born on August 11, 2017. When it was time for his “Mom” to start looking for a new dog, she told herself she would not go with the first dog she met. Well… Bleu was the first puppy she met when she went looking. She knew immediately that his wonderful disposition would fit her needs as a therapy dog for her Psychology practice perfectly.

As a working therapy dog, Bleu goes to work with his Mom almost every day. But twice a week, he gets to enjoy time at Doggy Daycare and Spa where he can be “just a dog” and hang out with his hip hound buddies. Being a regular at Daycare also provides the convenience of having a familiar place to stay overnight when the need arises and professional grooming to keep the already handsome Bleu even more handsome.

When he’s not working or hanging out at Daycare, Bleu enjoys spending time with humans, especially children who love to throw the tennis ball for him. Dog tv (watching for critters in the yard through the window or on the deck) is an especially relaxing past time for Bleu as he truly prefers observing over hunting.

Like most Goldens (and dogs in general), Bleu really enjoys a good ball. In fact, his favorite one is a Santa ball that he was “gifted” from a friend when he was obviously in love with it when visiting her house. He carries his Santa Ball with him everywhere, and it seems to be especially useful as a calming tool for Bleu when a Michigan Thunderstorm rolls in.

Goldens are known for their good nature and loyalty to their family, and Bleu is no exception. Except on the occasion a visitor spends the night at his house. He quickly becomes the “traitor” dog and sleeps in the room with the guest leaving his Mom all alone. We think this is just one of the many things that makes Bleu so extra special!
